No. Lotza is 100% free of alcohol. This makes it especially appealing for those that want to enjoy the mood-boosting and stress-relieving benefits without the buzz.

Lotza contains adaptogens, and there is limited data to prove adaptogens are safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so we always recommend checking with your primary healthcare provider.

We designed Lotza to taste delicious with any light spirit. The darker liquors tend to overpower it and aren't as easy for our bodies to metabolize. Dark liquors can also increase the risk of hangovers due to congeners (chemicals in dark liquors from aging in barrels). If you're looking for suggestions, we'd recommend mixing...

  • Lemon Hibiscus with tequila (like a margarita!)
  • Watermelon Cucumber with vodka (seriously refreshing)
  • Wild Berry Mint with light rum (the perfect spin on a mojito)

Wine not only contains more sugar than Lotza, wine commonly contains harmful substances like mega purple coloring dye, animal byproducts, sulfur dioxide (aka sulfites... known to cause headaches and hangovers), and dimethyl dicarbonate (aka velcorin, which is a synthetic preservative so toxic that it must be applied by specialists in hazmat suits). Yummy.

Some beers contain lactose, wheat and gluten, corn, food dye, and even peanut ingredients! But they don’t have to be listed, nor is an allergen disclaimer required. Other additives found in beer include GMO corn, rice, and sugars, MSG, Propylene Glycol, Calcium Disodium EDTA, high fructose corn syrup, artificial food dyes, glyceryl monostearate and pepsin, and Carrageenan. Bottoms up!

There is 7g of sugar per can that comes from real fruit and organic blue agave.

Lotza contains only 50 calories per can. Compare that to over 120 calories in a glass of wine and over 150 calories in beer.

No, Lotza does not contain any caffeine. Lotza is designed to support the body and balance your mood and energy with the use of natural plant extracts (a.k.a, adaptogens).

Lotza is lightly carbonated to perfection.

Alcohol can dehydrate you and cause increased inflammation in your body, both of which can make you look puffy and weathered. Lotza includes electrolytes to improve hydration, Rose Hip and Vitamin C to boost collagen and increase moisture, as well as Sea Buckthorn, and Hibiscus to help play a role in longevity and aging.

  • Sea Buckthorn: Filled with various vitamins and minerals, as well as antioxidants and other plant compounds that may protect your skin and aid liver function. May help your protect your skin and liver from the damaging effects of alcohol.
  • Hibiscus: This flowering plant is full of antioxidants, has been shown to fight redness and puffiness, has been widely studied for its liver-protecting benefits, and is used for support of the liver when processing things like alcohol.
  • Rose Hip: High in antioxidants and rich with vitamin C, and has been shown to help prevent skin aging by increasing moisture and elasticity, boosting collagen, and protecting and replenishing your skin barrier.

Alcohol can act as a sedative and rob you of energy. B vitamins are present in Lotza to help convert food into energy and support healthy cellular function. Additional mood-boosting and calming ingredients include our power house adaptogens, Holy Basil and Rhodiola.

  • Vitamin B-Complex: Promotes enzymes that power alcohol metabolism. May help increase energy levels, reduce stress, boost mood, reduce symptoms of anxiety or depression, and has anti-aging effects (hydrates, brightens skin).
  • Holy Basil: Known as "the queen of herbs,” this adaptogen has antioxidant properties, and has been shown to treat inflamed skin, have mood-boosting and anti-anxiety properties and can help enhance liver detox.
  • Rhodiola: A natural adaptogen that increases your body's resistance to stress. And has also been shown to improve symptoms of burnout, battle fatigue, and give your mood a pleasant boost.

The primary cause of feeling lousy after you drink is a buildup of a toxic byproduct called acetaldehyde. Through Dihydromyricetin (a.k.a. DHM, a natural plant extract), Lotza helps increase acetaldehyde metabolism and reduce “hangxiety." Paired with minerals and ginger, it's the perfect trio to help you wake up refreshed.

  • Vine Tea (DHM): Can promote alcohol metabolism and break down toxins. Has been shown to help prevent feeling lousy after drinking, improve sleep quality, reduce the time it takes to recover, improve your mood, and reduce anxiety.
  • Himalayan Sea Salt: Can regulate water content in the body, balances pH, and promotes healthy cellular metabolism. Has been shown to help keep you hydrated (electrolytes), energized (battles fatigue), and glowing (nourishes skin cells).
  • Ginger: A classic nausea remedy that not only is it a tummy-settler but it also aids digestion so our bodies have a little extra fuel to cleanse, reduce redness, and detox to get us back to our sprightly selves.

All the vitamins and ingredients in Lotza are water soluble, meaning they're not stored in the body, so it's difficult to overdo it. That being said, too many adaptogens can upset your stomach, so it is not recommended to consume more than 9x 8.4 oz cans in a day.
